Fifa to investigate Zizou-Materazzi incident:Disqualification of Italy a possibility

In a surprise statement, FIFA has initiated an enquiry into the Zidane disqualification of the 2006 World Cup final. While it is not new to initiate enquiries into red card disqualifications, but what sets this case apart is the fact that according to Article 55 of FIFA Disciplinary code, Italy, if Materazzi is found guilty, could be disqualified!
What happens to the cup in such a case, though, is not clear. It might be awarded to France or maybe, just mayb, the world cup 2006 will not have any winner at all!!!

All this might just turn out to end insignificantly as FIFA would definitely raise a lot of ruckus if such a ruling is made, but what I find a really interesting question is, what will happen to the betting money, the rewards of which would already have reached the winners!

Update: Came across this flash game which lets you be Zidane and headbutt quite a few Materazzi's. How many can *you* hit before the referee sends you off?
